Description:
DNX has discovered a vulnerability in AuraCMS, which can be exploited by malicious people to conduct SQL injection attacks.
Input passed to the "albums" parameter in mod/gallery/ajax/gallery_data.php is not properly sanitised before being used in SQL queries. This can be exploited to manipulate SQL queries by injecting arbitrary SQL code.
Successful exploitation allows e.g. retrieving administrator usernames and password hashes, but requires that "magic_quotes_gpc" is disabled.
The vulnerability is confirmed in version 2.2.1. Other versions may also be affected.
Solution:
Apply the "Update Gallery" patch.
