Description: Some vulnerabilities have been reported in AJ Auction Pro, which can be exploited by malicious people to bypass certain security restrictions, conduct SQL injection and cross-site scripting attacks.
1) Input passed to the "item_id" parameter in classifide_ad.php is not properly sanitised before being used in a SQL query. This can be exploited to manipulate SQL queries by injecting arbitrary SQL code.
2) Input passed to the "item_id" parameter in ajauction_platinum2/detail.php is not properly sanitised before being used in SQL queries. This can be exploited to manipulate SQL queries by injecting arbitrary SQL code.
3) Input passed to the "seller_id" parameter in ajauction_platinum2/sellers_othersitem.php is not properly sanitised before being used in SQL queries. This can be exploited to manipulate SQL queries by injecting arbitrary SQL code.
4) Input passed to the "product" parameter in ajauction_platinum2/search.php is not properly sanitised before being returned to the user. This can be exploited to execute arbitrary HTML and script code in a user's browser session in the context of an affected site.
5) A vulnerability is caused due to various scripts within the "admin" folder (e.g. admin/site.php, admin/auction.php, admin/mail.php) not being properly restricted to administrators. This can be exploited to e.g. perform administrative actions by accessing affected files directly.
The vulnerabilities are reported in version 6.2.1. Other versions may also be affected.
Solution: Edit the source code to ensure that input is properly sanitised. Ensure that administrative scripts are properly restricted (e.g. via ".htaccess").
