Description: .mario has reported some vulnerabilities in Snom 320 SIP Phone, which can be exploited by malicious people to conduct cross-site request forgery and cross-site scripting attacks.
1) A vulnerability is caused due to the device allowing users to perform certain actions via HTTP requests without performing any validity checks to verify the request. This can be exploited to e.g. change settings of registered phones by enticing a logged-in administrator to visit a malicious site.
2) Unspecified input is not properly sanitised before being returned to the user. This can be exploited to execute arbitrary HTML and script code in a user's browser session in context of an affected site.
The vulnerabilities are reported in Snom 320 firmware version 7.1.30 and prior. Other versions may also be affected.
Solution: Do not browse untrusted websites or follow untrusted links while logged on to the device.
Reportedly, the vulnerabilities will be fixed in the next firmware release.
Provided and/or discovered by: .mario
Changelog: 2008-03-14: Added vulnerability #2 and CVE references.
