Burglars broke into the house of Cabinet Secretary Oved Yehezkel in

Ramle Monday night, stealing a laptop computer, two cellular telephones

and a case containing documents.

According to the police, the stolen items did not include classified or

significant information.

The Prime Minister's Bureau confirmed that the stolen computer was new

and did not contain any important documents.

The police investigation concluded that the background to the incident

was solely criminal, and that the burglars had not intended to

specifically break into the house of the cabinet secretary, or to obtain

classified materials.

The break-in occurred in the middle of the night at Yehezkel's house in

the Ramle suburb of Neve David, while his family was asleep. Family

members discovered the missing items in the morning, and reported the

burglary to the police.
