Advisory of Workaround (by Xerox):
Xerox has released a minimal-impact workaround for this issue for DocuShare 4.x, 5.x, and 6.x.
The workaround is detailed at

I recommend you update this post. Scott Charbo IS NOT and NEVER WAS under investigation. See the following correction from GovExec, also posted on their site. Typical of the media to blast headline on A1 then bury the correction weeks later on B14.
CORRECTION: The original version of this story stated that Scott Charbo, Homeland Security's chief information officer, was under federal investigation. He is not. Government Executive regrets the error, and the article has been updated to correct it.

Hello - I am Jeff Hardy from SmarterTools.
The vulnerability stated above is related to the "on-board" Web Server included with the SmarterMail Mail Server installation. This on-board Web Server is provided to assist with the set up and configuration of the product and SmarterTools does not recommend that this basic Web Server be used as a production server--rather, our customers should use a production server such as IIS.
To sum up, SmarterMail does not have this vulnerability when properly configured and running on IIS as it was intended.
